Tamron's Book Reviews :-)

"Present Perfect" by Alison G. Bailey

7 Tamron Stars!!!
Present Perfect by Alison G. Bailey is a definite "must read".  I had the absolute honor of reading an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I'm not going to lie, had it not been for Stacy's insistence that it was a great read, I would have been hesitant to accept the offer. This is the first offering from an unknown Author, and had it sucked, I would have felt really bad about giving my honest opinion. I am so happy to say that this is easily one of the best books I've ever read.
I knew from the first chapter that this book was special.  I read ALOT of books, and this was the first time I've EVER found a book quotable in the first chapter, but there it was...so obvious, yet so profound. I read the paragraph TWICE, said aloud (to myself) "Wow! Holy shit! This chick has IT!" (Sometimes, when I'm talking to myself, there is profanity involved. My apologies if I offend, but those were my EXACT thoughts.) I was so excited that I sat for a moment before continuing on.
"We're led to believe that love is complicated. It's not the love that's complicated. It's      all the crap that we attach to it and put in front of it that makes it difficult. If you're       smart, you'll realize this before it's too late and simplify."
Amanda, affectionately called "Tweet", and Noah have ALWAYS been together. Separated by one minute at birth, their lives are irrevocably intertwined. The bond they share is so deep that no outsider can understand, let alone break it. They are best friends. I happen to believe that they are soul mates. Noah has loved tweet since...forever. Tweet loves Noah as well, but her own insecurities have her convinced that he deserves better than her. That he deserves "perfect". What she doesn't see is that she IS perfect to him.

We follow their beautiful story from childhood to adulthood, through their many mistakes, heartbreaks, almosts, and tragedies to end up where they belonged all along. You WILL fall in love with Noah, because Tweet's right, he really is PERFECT. You will wish that you could smack some sense into Tweet, or at least be her friend and give her a much-needed wake-the-hell-up pep talk. You will connect with these people and their lives.

Alison G. Bailey has "IT", that elusive quality that some Authors have to make you FEEL the story, rather than just read about it. I laughed out loud at times, I cried like a baby as well. I'm so glad that she was brave enough to take a chance and put her work out there. I believe WITH MY WHOLE HEART that this is her calling, her gift. I look forward to following her on her journey. I just know, without a doubt, that she will be signed to a major publishing house in the near future. (YES, IT'S THAT GOOD!) I am even hopeful that this story will be made into a movie in the future. (Again, THAT GOOD! And, I will be at the premier proudly wearing my #9 shirt!) Just read it for yourself. You won't regret it.

Tamron's Bio
My name is Tamron Davis. I'm a happily married mother of three amazing boys. I work full time as a Title Abstractor, and Thursday through Sunday nights I call bingo. (It's the family business.) In my downtime, I read books. Lots and lots of books. Occasionally, I run across a book so amazing that I want to tell EVERYONE about it, and often do. I have even been known to gift copies to friends to make sure that they read it so that they can truly appreciate how I feel about it. I have a bit of a "one-click" problem (Don't we all?) and I'm pretty sure that when I die, my tombstone will read:

"Here lies Tamron, dead and cold,
Killed by books, or so I'm told.
Her TBR, stacked by her bed,
Fell and crushed her sleeping head."

As you can see, she has a great sense of humor and cracks me up on a daily basis!!
